McAllister's Fifth Grade

October 30th, will be the Fifth Grade Annual Talent Show and Halloween Celebration.  Parents are welcome attend the show to see the various talents our students have prepared for their entertainment.   The show is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm and will most likely last approximately one hour.  After the students have completed their show, we will have treats to celebrate Halloween.  We need donations of cupcakes, cookies, and capri sun drinks as well as napkins and plates.  We also need parents to help set up and clean up.

In November , we’ll begin our life science unit on the Structure of Living Things.  Our unit will culminate mid-December with a home project and presentation.  The students will be required to make an edible cell AT HOME and bring it to school on December 18, 2009.  They will be required to orally present their cell to the class before being allowed to consume it. A letter will be sent home giving parents all the information needed to complete this project with due dates.

December 18th is a minimum day which means students will be dismissed at 12:50.  School will resume on January 5, 2010.
